I am available to serve as an independent expert witness in legal and administrative proceedings involving research methodology, statistical analysis, psychometric evaluation, and data integrity.

When research, data, or measurement tools are at issue in legal or regulatory proceedings, I provide independent expert review, analysis, and testimony grounded in accepted scientific and methodological standards.

Areas of Expert Testimony

Research Methodology

Whether a study's design, sampling, data collection, and analytical methods meet accepted scientific standards.

Statistical Analysis

Whether statistical methods were appropriately selected, correctly implemented, and honestly reported; whether conclusions are supported by the data.

Psychometric Evaluation

Whether measurement instruments are valid, reliable, and appropriate for the population and context; whether scores are being interpreted correctly.

Data Integrity

Whether data collection, storage, processing, and reporting practices meet professional and regulatory standards; whether reported results accurately reflect the underlying data.

Measurement Fairness

Whether assessment tools function equivalently across demographic groups (measurement invariance); whether group-based score differences reflect true differences or instrument bias.

Relevant Qualifications

  • Graduate degree specifically in research methods, measurement, and evaluation
  • CITI certified in human subjects research, IRB protocols, and research ethics
  • Former Chair of a Research Oversight Committee at a state psychiatric institution
  • Experience with state and federal data reporting systems subject to regulatory audit
  • Published peer-reviewed psychometric research
  • Nine years of applied statistical experience

Engagement Structure

Expert witness engagements are priced at the Policy/Legal certification tier (30–50% above listed service prices) and may include:

  • Independent review and analysis of data and methodology at issue
  • Written expert report with detailed methodological documentation
  • Signed Methodological Certification Letter
  • Deposition and/or trial testimony
  • Consultation with legal counsel on methodological matters

Hourly rate for expert witness services — including preparation, review, report writing, and testimony — available on request.
